Plus Magazine’s first pop-up exhibition & store, celebrating the launch of the fifth issue ‘Korea’. With special drink hours supported by Korean traditional beverage brand Osulloc and Boksoondoga.
The theme of this event was fully reflected through out this whole space. When people come in, they just grab a cup and freely walk around or sit and read the contents of magazine. On the huge black bar table at the center, the main pages introducing the artists from magazine are printed and placed in certain pattern and size. This way of display was expected to people having more fun to read, improve their readability, and also create visual impact itself on the space.
There was a strong contrast between the dark surface of the table and white prints. Materials obtained from nature, such as stones and flowers, were placed to reduce contrast and appropriately break up the flow of long text.
The goal for the main wall was to make balanced look between simple designed magazines and other objects including two different types of beverages : tea and alcohol. The display was planned to preserve the characteristics of sponsored brands with combining an oriental and modern vibes.
In this vanue, which fits perfectly with the theme of the fifth issue <Korea>,
many people visited and enjoyed sip&flip, looking at the traditional Korean palaces and the beautiful city of Seoul.
